First Annual Sanford Alwine Day Retreat

First Annual Sanford Alwine Day

Deepening Your Practice of Centering Prayer

Are you longing to deepen your experience of God? Are you desiring to integrate more fully your prayer life with your daily life? Do you feel stuck right now in your practice? Are you desiring to add a second sit to your daily prayer?

Join us in this day honoring the life and leadership of Sanford Alwine. Sandy's love of contemplation, nature and spiritual direction touched so many in Oasis and beyond. This year's retreat focus is on taking Centering Prayer deeper.

This retreat is especially geared for those who have already been introduced to Centering Prayer, have been practicing for some time, and are now desiring to deepen their practice. The day will begin with time for remembering Sanford, hearing music he loved, chanting, and planting a tree. We'll then move into three 30-minute times of Centering Prayer interspersed with brief input from Todd Friesen. There will also be an hour in the afternoon for solitude on the beautiful grounds of Still Waters.
